Our two week mission's trip has come to a close as we have just minutes ago touched down at JFK. Were thankful to have been a part of two great ministries in Romania.
Arrived in London. Everything on schedule.
It's been a long night of travel from Satu Mare to Budapest. We have smoothly moved through check in, security and passport control. We are all tired from a late night at the village(10:30) and leaving the hotel by midnight. Leah's parents meet us at the airport and she is on her way home to her home in Hungary.
Our apologies for not updating the team website. Internet out here in western Romania is very slow and also limited to just a few people at a time. Many of the team members have updated their facebook pages as well as the Romania Mission Team facebook page. Sunday was a busy day with four services in three different gypsy villages. . Thursday...in Romanian, the word for Thursday is "Joi," & what a day of joy it was! This is the day where Bible lessons & preaching services center on God's free gift of salvation, & it culminates in an invitation at the end for all who are willing to come & freely receive. Coach preached a powerful message of Christ's Continue Reading
Many saved tonight during the invitation. A good number still being dealt with. Continue praying. God is still working. Pictures coming later.
"Think about it" were the last words of the message tonight as we had the opportunity to preach on God's judgment for sin and the place of eternal punishment, Hell. Descriptions of heaven and hell were given. The choices that we make here on this earth. Tomorrow, our Bible lessons will focus on God's love and the wonderful gift of Continue Reading
Big ball during game time today along with other activities like tic tac toe, a Romanian favorite. Kids cooled off in the afternoon on the camp water slide.
Day started with a brief thunderstorm. We are thankful that it passed quickly and we did not miss a thing. It did turn hot shortly after and the children got tired very quickly as we tried to have game time. Christiana and Lindsey did an excellent job with their bible lessons on the subject of sin. Afternoon was filled with Continue Reading
After seven hours traveling by bus, we were ready to get some sleep... in a bed. Airplanes are no place for tall people to be trying to catch some sleep. We are up and moving this morning meeting campers... some returning from earlier years and a great number of brand new children.
We've arrived in Hungary and are ready to chow down...at McDonalds.
We've all arrived at JFK - New York and are an hour from boarding our flight to London and then on to Budapest. Here's what our team members are looking forward to: Christiana: Hi! I am a sophomore at PCC. I'm really excited to teach the children Bible stories and verses. Also, just to hang out with them and play Continue Reading
Six is us flying to JFK from New Orleans are now boarding.
We're on our way. Romania mission's trip 2017. Mariah, Koffi, Sylvia, Gina, Mr&Mrs Goetsch on our way to New Orleans. Stopped at Chick-fil-a in Biloxi. Never know who you'll run into...Bill Henry, PCC athletic trainer and strength coach also here.
One week from today, several of the Romania Team members will leave Pensacola for the beginning of the 2017 Hope for the Future Romania mission's trip. Team members will be flying in from different parts to JFK in New York where we will begin our journey to Romania on Saturday, July 8.
Eleven days until Romania 2017 leaves for the field. We are excited about what the Lord has for us working with Brother Dani at Speranta Pentru Viitor and Brother Brent in the Gypsy villages near Satu Mare.
Excited to get going with our 2017 YOM Romania team. These young people have sensed God's moving in their lives and have signed on to go to Romania this summer. We have several returning for a second trip as well as several first time members.
